Play the penguin on five levels, from one that makes beginner mistakes to one that thinks several moves ahead, or play a friend on the same screen.
How to play
- Tap one of your pieces to see its moves, then tap the square.
- Checkmate the other king to win.
- Undo takes back your last move; Switch sides lets you play black.
A bit of history
Chess comes from the Indian game chaturanga, about 1,500 years old. The modern rules, with the powerful queen, appeared in Spain around 1475.
