Falling Blocks
Fit the falling pieces together to complete rows and clear them. The faster you play, the higher your score.
Seven shapes fall in a random but fair order. You can see the next three, save one piece for later and watch a shadow that shows where it will land. There are five difficulty levels and your best score is kept on your device. It works with touch, keyboard or gamepad.
How to play
- Pieces fall from the top. Move and turn them so they fit together with no gaps.
- Fill a whole row to clear it. Clearing several rows at once scores more.
- Save a piece for later with the hold button, once per piece.
- The pieces fall faster as you clear lines. The game ends when the stack reaches the top.
A bit of history
This kind of falling-block puzzle was invented in 1984 by Alexey Pajitnov, a Soviet computer engineer inspired by pentomino puzzles.
